Retirement

There comes a time in every Wryval’s life when they get too old and just can’t compete with the young Wryvals like they used to. They’ve worked hard in their training and competitions and are now ready to enjoy a more relaxed life.

You have bonded to your Wryval, raising them from a young dragon all the way to adulthood. The two of you have been through battle together. You want to keep the memories of their tournaments and legacy around, and let them stay and watch the successes of their progeny. Retirement is great!

A retired Wryval requires no food, cannot breed, cannot train, and cannot be entered into tournaments. Nor will it ever hibernate; it will hang around and reminisce with you about the good old days.

A retired Wryval can only be un-retired through the use of a Potion of Reversed Time.

The Void

Sometimes, things don’t work out, and that is okay. If a Wryval doesn’t fit into the vision of the Dojo that you are trying to build, if they didn’t inherit the characteristics you were hoping for from their parents, or is just not performing up to your standards, and you don’t want to keep feeding a mouth that doesn’t have much of a chance to give you tournament glory, you can send the Wryval to the Void.

Don’t feel bad about sending them to the Void. This is their home world, and there are many other Wryvals there for them to interact with and live a fulfilling life.

A Wryval sent to the void can only be summoned back through the use of a Philter of the Void potion.
