Wryvals

Wryvals are playful, dragon-like creatures that come to our dimension to test their skill in duelling and racing.

As owner of your very own Dojo, it is your job to tend to the Wryvals, making sure they are properly fed and trained, and enroll them into tournaments where they test their skills against other Wryvals.

Characteristics

Each Wryval has a unique combination of characteristics inherited from its parents. The combination of the characteristics donated give the Wryval its appearance and determines its potential for tournament play.

Aesthetic Characteristics

Aesthetic characteristics are what determines a Wryvals look and color.

The images below show the possible characteristics for a Wryval. From time to time it is possible that mutations occur and new characteristics are found.

Performance Characteristics

Performance characteristics play a big role in how a Wryval will perform in tournaments.

There are four performance characteristics:

Speed determines how fast a Wryval can fly through a racing course.

Agility determines how agile a Wryval is to maneuver up and down when flying through a racing course.

Strength determines how hard a Wryval can hit for when duelling.

Stamina determines how much punishment a Wryval can endure when duelling.

When a Wryval is born, their potential for each of the performance characteristics is determined by its Mother’s and Father’s genes. However like all animals, a Wryval isn’t born in peak physical condition. It has to train hard every day to have a chance to meet or even surpass its potential.

Each Wryval will have their potential for each performance characteristic rated on a scale from 0 – 100. This potential stays with them for their entire life. You will always be able to see what level the Wryval’s current rating is for each characteristic.

If you train your Wryval every day, there is a pretty good chance that they will meet or even exceed their potential. However, like a lot of things in life, this is not guaranteed. Some Wryvals are just not destined to reach their potential. The good news is that their potential remains within their genes and even if you have a Wryval with high potential who doesn’t meet it, there is a good possibility that they will pass that potential to their offspring.
